In this Cookie Statement we explain what cookies are, which cookies are used on the Nubis website, what they do, how you can refuse or allow cookies and how you can contact us.
This Cookie Statement may be revised, for example if we start using other cookies or if the relevant legislation changes. We will inform you about substantial changes.

  1. What are cookies?

Cookies are tiny (text) files that are placed on your computer, tablet, smartphone or other electronic devices  (hereinafter “computer”) when you visit a web page.

When a cookie is on your computer your computer can be recognized and information can be collected. These are our own cookies, and can only be read out by duly authorised employees of Nubis. The data we collect via these cookies are not shared with third parties, except where there is a legal obligation for us to do so.

Because functional cookies are essential for using the website, they may be placed without consent.

3.2       Analytical cookies
Analytical cookies record how visitors use our website. This information allows us to analyze the use of our website and generate anonymous user statistics and reports. We use this knowledge to improve our marketing activities and also the quality, effectiveness, and user-friendliness of our website.

To do this we use the Google Analytics service. As the provider of this service, Google Inc. (Google) places analytical cookies via our website.

In line with the manual of the Dutch Data Protection Agency (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), we have set the Google Analytics cookies to ‘privacy-friendly’. The means that your IP address is partly masked and the option for sharing data is disabled. This way these cookies only have a slight impact on your privacy, and they can therefore be placed without consent.

Click here for further information about these cookies and their period of validity. Moreover, Google offers the option of disabling data collection within the framework of Google Analytics, by means of the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Click here to use this option and click here for more general information about how Google uses cookies and about Google’s privacy policy. We are not responsible for Google’s privacy and/or cookie policy.

3.3       Social media cookies
Via social media buttons, we give visitors to our website the opportunity to share content within various social media networks via the AddThis service. The provider of the AddThis option is Oracle Corporation.

This provider can place social media cookies on your computer when you visit our website, but only if you have given permission for cookies to be placed. If you do not allow these cookies, it is not possible to share web pages easily via social media.

AddThis can use these cookies and the information collected through them for its own purposes. Please refer to the AddThis privacy policy in this regard. You unsubscribe for targeted advertisements facilitated by AddThis here.
If, after you have clicked on a social media button, you are forwarded to a website of a social media provider, such as Facebook or LinkedIn, it is possible that these social media providers place cookies from their own website.

The social media button of YouTube also makes it possible for you to watch videos placed on our website. YouTube will place cookies, but only if you have given permission by consenting to the placement of social media cookies.

We have no say regarding the social media cookies, the data that is collected with these cookies and the objectives for which the social media providers use the cookies. We recommend that you consult the relevant privacy and cookie statements of the social media providers for this information.

In view of the foregoing, we cannot accept responsibility or liability for social media cookies or for how AddThis and the relevant social media providers deal with the collected information.

3.4       Tracking cookies
With your permission, we place tracking cookies on your computer. These cookies allow us to follow your surfing behavior on our website and deduce from this what you are interested in.

4.         Allowing, refusing and removing cookies

Cookies that require your permission are only placed on your computer if you have consented to this by clicking on the allow button in the cookie banner that appears during your first visit to our website.

You can use the cookies settings tool if there are certain types of cookies that you do not wish to receive, if you want to change the cookie settings, or if you wish to retract your permission at a later stage. To record the choice you have made, we will have to place a cookie though. You must record your choice in every browser and computer, since we are unable to transfer your settings to other browsers and computers you use.

Moreover, you can manage your cookies by means of your browser settings. You can set the settings in your browser in such a way that no cookies are stored, that you can allow or refuse every cookie, or that all cookies are removed when you close your browser. You will find a useful step-by-step plan for managing cookies on the website of the consumers’ association consumentenbond.

Cookies are placed on every computer with which you visit websites. If you wish not to receive any cookies whatsoever anymore, you must change the settings on all the computers you use. Please note: if you refuse or remove cookies this could also have an effect on the functional cookies. It could limit your possibilities for using our website or components of our website
